Types of Membership and its Requirements

ARTICLE 4

The Association has two types of membership: principal and honorary. Private persons legally mature and corporations have an interest in public health issues can become a principal member. The confirmation of the Board of Management is required for the acceptance of principal members.

The individuals who are known for their contributions to public health or the ones who made material and moral contributions to the Association can be awarded an honorary membership by the decision of the Board of Management of the Association.
The honorary members do not have voting rights.

Membership

ARTICLE 5

For the membership of foreign private persons, residence permission is necessary. This rule does not include honorary members.

Anyone who wants to become a principal member has to apply to the Chairmanship of the Board of Management with a written petition. The application is examined and the consequent result as to the acceptance or rejection of the application is announced to the applicant in written form not later than 30 days after receiving the application.

In the case of opening a new branch, membership records of the association is transferred to the branch. New members should apply to the new branch. Acceptance or rejection of the application is done by branch board of management and head office is informed within 30 days accordingly.

Withdrawal from Membership

ARTICLE 6

Every member, after having informed his/her request for withdrawal in written form to the Board of Management may withdraw from membership. When the withdrawal petition arrives to the Board of Management, withdrawal is considered to be completed.
Withdrawal from membership does not end his/her depts.

Discharge from Membership

ARTICLE 7

a) Those who do not comply with the resolutions of the Association, act contrary to the provisions of the Regulations, those who do not pay their membership fees for two consecutive years in spite of two written notifications of the Board of Management or those who do not take part in two consecutive meetings of the General Assembly without having informed the Board of Management with an acceptable excuse.

b) Those who act in a way that besmirch the Association or its members, accusing them in any way or discouraging or preventing their activities.

c) Those that carry out activities in favor or against any of the political parties by using the title of the Association or those who create discord among the members or those who lead to unjust actions due to reasons as such are expelled from membership and deleted from membership records as per decree of the Board of Management.

However the rights of members to apply to the first upcoming General Assembly for objection to such expulsion is reserved.

d) Continuously refrain from assigned duties.

e) Not to obey the decisions of the association organs.

In the case of any of the above situations exist; he/she can be expelled from membership by the decision of Board of Management.

Those expelled or withdraw from membership are deleted from the records of association and they can not claim righst on the association assets.

Membership Fee

ARTICLE 8

The entrance and annual fee for the principal members are determined by Board of Management.
